You have reached one of the oldest truly independent reinsurance consultants in the United Kingdom.

Phillippa will be at our main office on Monday and Tuesday and will be in London on Wednesday evening, Thursday and Friday. On Friday she will be attending The Academy of Experts' Chairmen's Lunch where she will be standing down as Chairman of The Academy after two years in office, and will be handing over to her successor, Richard Swan. Phillippa remains an officer of The Academy as Immediate Past Chairman.

The Academy of Experts is the leading profesional and accreditation body for expert witnesses. More details can be found via the "Links" page.

Jeremy will be at our main office all week.

On January 13th to 15th Phillippa was one of the officials, judging and mediating, at the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators' second annual Mediation Skills Competition for UK law students. The winning team, from London Metropolitan University, gained a place at the ICC international mediation skills competition in Paris next month.

On January 19th Phillippa participated in the annual ARC Quiz, as a member of the (losing) ARC team "Leanderthals".


Next month, at lunchtime on February 7th, Phillippa will be attending the ISL "Gathering" and networking meeting at the Broker Wine Bar, Leadenhall Market.
On Thursday 23rd she will be attending the BILA Charitable Trust's Derrick Cole Memorial Lecture in Lloyd's Old Library.

In April, on the 19th and 20th, she will be chairing and lecturing at the Falconbury seminar "Understanding the Reinsurance Industry". This seminar is designed to allow those new to, unfamiliar with or out of touch with, the industry to enhance their knowledge of how reinsurance works and its impact on insurance business.

In May, on the 18th, Phillippa will be participating, as a panel member, in the ARIAS(UK) Annual Workshop and attending the AGM immediately afterwards, both at the Swiss Re offices in St Mary Axe. On the 21st and 22nd she will be chairing and speaking at the Falconbury workshop, "Reinsurance Contract Wordings and Disputes".

We have just discovered that searching the web for "Phillippa Ross & Co" produces a startling number of entries purporting to describe us as "insurance brokers" in Bishop Auckland for various classes of business. We are currently working to have these removed or amended as soon as possible. In the meantime, and for the avoidance of any doubt, we are not insurance brokers, do not provide "insurance services", and are not authorised to do so.
